Press brake forming in Faridabad
Bends set, checked and re-checked before a part is ever allowed to reach the weld bay. A part that arrives at the fitter out of angle is a gap somebody has to close with weld metal, and that is the expensive way to fix a cheap mistake.
WHERE FORMING GOES WRONG
The first part is not the problem. The problem is the fiftieth, when tooling, material batch and operator have all moved a little. Checking is not a formality here for that reason.
An inside radius that is fine in one grade cracks in another. If a radius on your drawing is going to cause trouble, we would rather say so before we quote than discover it in production.
The flat comes from the bend, not the other way round. Where the profile is cut here as well, the two are developed together and the part closes.
WHAT TO SEND US
- The formed part, not only the flat — we will develop the pattern
- Material, thickness and grade
- Bend radii, and which ones are critical
- Quantity and whether it repeats
- What the part mates with, if anything
Frequently asked
- What is your press brake capacity?
- Send the part with its material and thickness and we will confirm it against our bed and tonnage. Tell us which bends are critical while you are at it, because that is what decides whether it is one setup or three.
- Do you develop the flat pattern?
- Yes. Send the formed part and we will develop it. Where we cut the profile as well, the pattern and the cut come from the same development.
- Can you form and weld the same assembly?
- Yes. Cutting, forming, rolling, dished ends and welding all run in this works, and welding is carried out under ISO 3834, and for rolling stock EN 15085.
- Do you take one-off press brake work?
- Yes. A one-off and a monthly schedule are different jobs and priced differently, but both are welcome.
